What's New In MailCOPA V8.01The MailCOPA email program is being continually improved, in response to feedback from our customers, and from our ever-demanding testing team. We hope that these will further enhance your enjoyment of our product. Totally re-written user interfaceThe MailCOPA email program has had a major facelift. All new layout, icon designs and window designs. Now featuring docking windows you can arrange your MailCOPA desktop any way you like and configure the toolbars and menu bars to be just the way you like them. Multi-Sorting in Message ListMessages in the message list can now be sorted by more than one column at the same time. For example you could sort on the from name, and the date received, so you can see a list of mail from the same person in the order they were sent to you. Just hold the shift key while clicking on the message list column heading to add another column to the sort. Change the type of the message from plain text to HTML while you are typing itIf you decide part way through writing a message that you want to change it to an HTML format message there is now no need to start over. Just select the message type from a dropdown right at the bottom of the editor. Change the from address of the message while you are typing itDealing with many email addresses? It can be annoying to start righting a message then realize that you intended it to come from a different email address. The MailCOPA email program V8.01 will show you at the bottom of the editor which email address the message will be sent from. And in the dropdown will list all of your addresses so you can change it at any time. Bayesian SPAM FilterA Bayesian SPAM filter learns from what you teach it. This allows it to identify SPAM that you get as apposed to SPAM that we created filters to catch. A Bayesian filter does need to be taught and you will find two new options on the MailCOPA email program message context menu to learn as SPAM and learn as clean. You need to teach it an equal number of SPAM and clean messages for it to work most efficiently. DNSBL SPAM FilterThe MailCOPA email program V8.01 can check each message you receive against an online DNS Black List. These lists store details of machines which regularly send SPAM messages and can be very accurate at identifying SPAM messages. See http://www.spamhaus.org/xbl/ for more information.

Support for WinMail.dat attachmentsMicrosoft Outlook will often send attachments encoded in it's own proprietary format. Previously you needed to request these attachments be re-sent correctly, or export the file to an external decoder. The MailCOPA email program V8.01 will decode these attachments for you silently and provide them to you as if they were normal attached files. Syntax Highlighting added to HTML Source EditorIf you need to write a lot of messages with HTML source code you will appreciate the new source editor which will highlight HTML tags and other syntax. Option to set a folder colorJust as you can set the color of an individual message you can now set the color of a folder in your folders list. Makes finding folders much easier when you are busy. Refilter MessagesIf you've ever created a new filter to do something to your received messages but wished you'd created it months ago you will appreciate the new ability of the MailCOPA email program to pass messages from your message list back through the filtering functions. Support for read receiptsThe MailCOPA email program can now request a read receipt when writing a message, and provide read receipts to emailers who have requested them from you. V8.01 is a FREE upgrade to registered MailCOPA email program users. Click here for what was new in V7.01 of the MailCOPA email program |
